Workplace First Aid & Irish Law

This course is built around the legislation that governs first aid provision in Irish workplaces.

Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005

Places a general duty on employers to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safety, health and welfare of employees — including adequate first aid provision.

General Application Regulations 2007 — First Aid

Require employers to provide appropriate first aid equipment, facilities and trained first-aiders based on the workplace first aid risk assessment.

Awareness vs Certified First-Aider

This online course provides essential first aid awareness. To become a certified occupational first-aider you must also complete at least 18 hours of practical, competency-based training.
